Bio

Mark Masztal is an award-winning illustrator and designer.

He is known in the comic book field as the artist and co-creator of the Shar-Pei series, recently collected as the Chronicles of Shar-Peiand as the creator of the space opera, NOMAD.

He was lead book designer on John Rovnak’s massive volume, Panel To Panel: Exploring Words & Pictures Volume 1.

He was the designer and cover artist for G. Michael Dobbs’ 15 Minutes With, letterer on Stephen Murphy & Michael Zulli’s, Eisner Award nominated The Collected Puma Blues and designer on Stephen Murphy’s Eisner Award nominated Umbra collection.

Along with Mike Dobbs, Mark is the co-founder of Bing Comic Con, a 1-day pop culture event in Springfield, MA.

Mark was born and raised in Massachusetts, where he lives with his understanding wife Kathy and his dog, Cady.

He spends his spare time volunteering and representing Greyhound Options as their V.P.
